01/17/2025, 16:23On 17 January 2025, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov signed an Investment Agreement for the construction of a plant for the production of continuous basalt fibre. The project will be implemented in Chui Oblast by Basalt Evotek LLC, which will invest USD 34 million.
It is expected that at the first stage the plant will create at least 70 jobs, and when it reaches full capacity, 130 more will be added. The enterprise plans to produce up to 5,000 tonnes of basalt fibre annually using modern technologies, which will strengthen Kyrgyzstan's export potential.
The project will be an important step for the development of the country's industrial sector, attracting investment and increasing competitiveness in international markets.
