Additional agreement signed on solar power plant in Kyzyl-Oruk

On 1 December, the Ministry of Energy signed a supplementary agreement to the investment agreement on the construction of a solar power plant in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk. The document was concluded between the Cabinet of Ministers and Sonningdale Limited and RECA LLC.

The agreement clarifies a number of conditions of the initial document, from the distribution of responsibilities to risk management mechanisms and stability guarantees. Its signing, in the presence of Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev and representatives of the investor, was another step in promoting the project, which is important for the development of renewable energy and attracting investment.

At the construction site, temporary housing is already being completed, the foundation for the substation and 110 kV power line is being poured, and brackets for solar panels are being installed. The agreement came into force upon signing and is now part of the main Investment Agreement.
