12/16/2024, 18:01President Sadyr Zhaparov has signed a law that amends the Code on Non-Tax Revenues and the Law on the Road Fund. The new rules were approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on 20 November 2024 and will come into force on 1 January 2025.
The main purpose of the changes is to increase budget revenues in order to allocate more funds for repair, maintenance and construction of motorways and development of road infrastructure.
Levies are now being introduced on the import and production of petrol and diesel. These funds will go directly to the Road Fund and will be used only for road improvements.
The law aims to address one of the key objectives - to improve the quality of public roads across the country.
