President warns civil servants about ban on hiring relatives

President Sadyr Zhaparov has stated that measures will be taken if heads of state agencies hire their relatives. He announced this today, 27 February, at a republican meeting.

He emphasised that illegal actions, such as hiring children, nephews, uncles, sons-in-law or fellow countrymen, are not permitted when appointing people to government positions.

‘If such illegal or unfair circumstances are identified, you will be punished, even if you are an excellent manager,’ said the president, calling on managers to work within the law.
