12/01/2025, 10:09Kyrgyzstan has seen an increase in prices for goods and services, but the dynamics by category remain uneven. According to statistics, the overall increase in prices for all goods and services was 6.3% on an annual basis. At the same time, monthly indicators were closer to stable values of around 2%.
Food products showed moderate growth, but there were significant differences within the group. Fruits and vegetables showed sharp fluctuations: from a 13.2% decrease to a 22.8% increase. Meat prices rose by 11.7%, while dairy products fell by 5.3% in certain periods. Sugar and confectionery products generally remained at the same price level.
Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and housing and communal services became the main drivers of growth. Prices for alcohol and tobacco rose by 11.4%. In the category of housing services, water, electricity, gas, and fuel, the average value increased by 10.2%, and residential repair services by 16.1%.
Non-food goods are characterized by stability. Prices for clothing and footwear fluctuated within 3%, while household appliances and household goods remained at the same level. Furniture, textiles, and household appliances also did not show significant jumps.
Thus, food and housing and communal services continue to exert the greatest pressure on household spending. The non-food sector remains relatively stable, while certain types of services and food products are the main drivers of inflation.
