05/29/2025, 16:03Kyrgyzstan is steadily strengthening its position among the countries of the Eurasian region. According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, the republican budget was executed with a surplus of 46.2 billion kGS ($500 million), which is 7.9 times more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by data on the execution of the budgets of the EAEU countries.
Kyrgyzstan was among the few countries where revenues exceeded expenditures. In January–March 2025, the country's budget revenues grew by 83.6% to 147 billion KGS, while expenditures amounted to 100.9 billion KGS.
By comparison, Armenia's budget deficit in 2024 turned into a surplus and was five times smaller than in Kyrgyzstan, at $100 million. In Kazakhstan, the deficit narrowed but remained at $1.1 billion.
In Russia, expenditure growth (+22.2%) outpaced revenue growth (+3.8%) in the budget, which
contributed to an increase in the budget deficit. As a result, it reached $21.1 billion.

According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Finance, budget revenues for January–April amounted to 212.3 billion KGS, while the surplus increased to over 57.4 billion KGS.
