The EBRD's Regional Director Noted Positive Changes in Bishkek

Nodira Mansurova, Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, spoke positively about the changes in Bishkek.

During a meeting with Mayor Aibek Junushaliyev, she highlighted the work being done to develop the city’s infrastructure.

“Bishkek has become much more beautiful today. I think this is the result of the hard work carried out by you and your team,” Mansurova said.

Djunushaliyev congratulated her on her appointment as EBRD Regional Director. The parties then discussed prospects for further cooperation on projects in the capital. In particular, they discussed areas related to the operations of “Bishkekteploenergo,” “Bishkekteploseti,” and “Bishkekvodokanal,” as well as the development of public transportation.

Following the meeting, the mayor’s office and the EBRD reaffirmed their interest in continuing to work together on urban infrastructure and improving the urban environment. No new agreements or project timelines were announced following the meeting.
