    Nine state-owned enterprises have been liquidated in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year

    Since the beginning of 2025, nine state-owned enterprises have ceased operations in Kyrgyzstan. The relevant information is contained in the Register of Legal Entities of the Ministry of Justice.

    Among those liquidated are mainly agricultural and engineering and manufacturing enterprises, many of which were founded in the 1990s.

    In April, the following were closed:

    • State-owned enterprise ‘Car Garage of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul Region’ — 2 April;
    • State-owned enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Experimental Station for Cotton Growing of the KNAU’;
    • SE ‘Issyk-Kul Experimental Selection Station of the KNIIZ’;
    • SE ‘Kyrgyz Experimental Selection Station for Sugar Beets’;
    • SE ‘Burgandinsky Support Point’;
    • State Enterprise based on the Ak-Altyn Seed Production Cooperative — all on 3 April.

    In February and March, the activities of the State Enterprise ‘Design Workshop Vneshtorgpromproekt’ of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic (13 February), the State Enterprise ‘Issyk-Kul Hydrogeological Party’ (13 February), and the State Enterprise ‘Specialised Installation and Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic’ (13 March) were terminated.
