Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with US President Donald Trump in Washington

During his working visit to the United States, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with President Donald Trump in Washington.

The leaders discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the United States, including in the political sphere, as well as in the field of financial technologies and artificial intelligence.

Noting that Kyrgyzstan, unlike other countries, does not have oil and gas reserves, the head of state emphasised that the country's main asset is its educated youth. Many of them are actively exploring the IT sphere.

Sadyr Zhaparov also focused on cooperation in the field of financial technology and noted the Genius Act, signed by US President Donald Trump, which regulates stablecoins and is rightly considered one of the most advanced and progressive laws in the world.

President Sadyr Zhaparov spoke about the measures being taken to introduce digital financial instruments in Kyrgyzstan, including the launch of the national stablecoin KGST and work on creating a state crypto reserve.

In turn, Donald Trump warmly welcomed Sadyr Zhaparov and noted the steady development of bilateral relations.

The US President also expressed confidence that constructive dialogue at the highest level would contribute to the further development of cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable development, security and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.
