Employment services have helped more than 7,000 Kyrgyz citizens find work

In the first six months of this year, state employment services helped 7,106 unemployed citizens find work. Among them were 4,087 women and 3,744 young people, according to the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration.

In total, 77,551 people had approached the employment services by 1 July. More than 52,800 received advice on labour law, job hunting, career choices and retraining opportunities.

A further 3,451 unemployed people were referred for vocational training. They are being offered the chance to train as chefs, accountants, drivers, welders, plumbers, seamstresses, hairdressers, manicurists, computer operators and other in-demand specialists.

A total of 9,669 people have been placed in temporary, paid public works schemes. This is 69 per cent more than during the same period in 2025.

Almost 39,700 citizens received career guidance counselling, including 17,300 unemployed people and 22,400 students. Such centres operate in Bishkek, Osh, Karakol, Naryn, Talas, Jalal-Abad, Uzgen, Batken and the Sokuluk district.
