  President Sadyr Japarov has announced plans for a radical reform of the country’s administrative-territorial structure. According to him, in the long term, the regions and districts of Kyrgyzstan may be abolished and replaced by around 20 districts.

• Trading volume on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange exceeded 501 million KGS on 15 April

  At the close of trading on 15 April 2026, the total trading volume on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange stood at 501.3 million KGS, down 99.4% compared to the previous session. The bulk of trading activity took place on the primary market, where transactions totalling 500.2 million KGS were recorded.
