12/22/2024, 12:17For the period from January to October 2024, the volume of Kyrgyz exports to the Americas amounted to $6.1 million, which is slightly higher than the figure for the same period in 2023 ($6 million). Among the countries to which Kyrgyz goods were exported, the largest volumes came from the United States and Canada.
The U.S. remains Kyrgyzstan's largest trading partner in the Americas, with exports worth $5 million. However, the figure is slightly down compared to 2023, when exports totaled $5.3 million. Canada also showed notable growth, increasing exports from $328.3 thousand in 2023 to $947.4 thousand in 2024. Mexico and Chile are also significant for Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade. Exports to Mexico in 2024 amounted to $31.6 thousand, and to Chile - $40.6 thousand, which is significantly higher than last year's figures.
However, to such countries as Anguilla, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Greenland, Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay, exports amounted to $0, indicating minimal trade relations with these countries in the period under review.
Exports to other countries in the region, such as Argentina and Panama, increased but still remained at a lower level compared to the main partners.
