08/12/2025, 10:44The construction of the Karakul hydroelectric power plant along the Kara-Suu River in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region is currently 80% complete.
The main water intake structure is fully ready, and work on the installation of columns, crane beams, metal structures of the upper structure and the roof of the hydroelectric power plant building has been completed.
Work is underway on concreting the discharge channel and installing wall sandwich panels, while the installation of the pressure pipeline is in its final stages and work is underway on the remaining sections of the pipeline. Site preparation and excavation work has been completed.
The installation of substation equipment is in its final stages. The foundation parts of hydro turbines No. 1 and 2, as well as all equipment, have been delivered to the construction site, and the installation of the bridge crane has been completed.
