Taalaibek Ibraev has reprimanded the ‘Bishkekgaz’ department

Within the preferential connection to gas in Bishkek and Chui oblast, 167 subscribers were connected as of 1 October. Total costs amounted to 19.4 million KGS. This was reported today by Deputy Energy Minister Kursantbek Omurbekov during the Ministry of Energy board meeting. 

However, Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev has reprimanded the ‘Bishkekgaz’ department because the results are weak and people continue to use electricity.

"To switch the population to gas, 1 billion KGS was allocated. What good is it if electricity consumption does not drop in the districts where it was connected? We are not utilising the allocated budget. You are not working well. You should work among the population and explain that people should have alternative energy to not depend only on electricity,’ the head of the ministry said.
