07/25/2026, 09:10In June 2026, prices for housing services, water supply, electricity, gas and other types of fuel in Kyrgyzstan rose by 2.4 per cent, contributing 0.28 percentage points to monthly inflation. This is evidenced by an analysis of inflation trends.
The main driver of the increase was the rise in the cost of electricity, gas and other fuels, the prices of which rose by 1.1 per cent. Their contribution to overall inflation amounted to 0.08 percentage points.
As noted in the analysis, the increase is linked to the annual indexation of electricity tariffs. The main impact of the tariff rises on households was already reflected in May, as the new rates came into effect on 1 May.
However, additional inflationary pressure persisted in June. This is explained by the entry into force of updated tariffs for non-domestic consumers, including commercial and industrial enterprises and public sector organisations. Furthermore, the end of billing periods and the issuing of the first invoices to legal entities under the new tariff structure had an impact, which continued to drive price growth in this category.
