Toraga ZhK demanded that construction of the Shekaftar-Aira-Tam road be completed by the end of the year

Today, 28 August, as part of a working trip to the Ala-Bukin district, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, a member of the Torag of the Jogorku Kenesh, familiarised himself with the progress of repair and construction work on the Shekaftar-Aira-Tam motorway.

The republican budget has allocated 318 million soms for the construction of a 10-kilometre section. Work is currently underway on the construction of flood control structures, shore reinforcement and gravel filling.

Toraga emphasised the need for strict quality control of the work being carried out.

«This road is important for the region and for improving the lives of the local population. Therefore, construction must be carried out with high quality and in full compliance with the established requirements», — he said.

Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu also drew attention to the peculiarities of the terrain and noted that work could continue until the end of the year.

«There is no need to postpone the 10-kilometre road until next year; it must be completed by 1 January 2026», — the toraga demanded.
