The price of an ounce of gold in Kyrgyzstan fell by nearly 4,000 KGS in a single day

The buyback price of a standard gold bar weighing 31.1035 grams—one troy ounce—fell to 376,812.5 KGS on September 24. Over the course of the day, the price of gold dropped by 3,945 KGS, or approximately 1%.

As recently as September 23, the National Bank was buying back such a bar for 380,757.5 KGS.

Meanwhile, the selling price per ounce remained unchanged at 388,276.5 KGS.

The decline also affected other denominations. For example, the buyback price for a 100-gram bar fell from 1.22 million KGS to 1.21 million, or by 12,682.5 KGS.

At the same time, the selling prices for most denominations remained unchanged. The decrease affected only the prices at which the National Bank is willing to buy gold from the public.
