This step is aimed at strengthening social support for recipients of monthly compensations, which replace benefits. If the resolution is adopted, from 1 January 2025, participants of combat operations in Afghanistan and liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster will be able to receive cash payments from 2 to 10 thousand KGS, which depends on the category of the beneficiary.
It is important to note that in 2024 will be 35 years since the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, and in 2026 - 40 years since the Chernobyl disaster, emphasising the relevance and timeliness of such a decision.
