In 2024, the financing of the Ministry of Transport from the budget was increased by 45%

The budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for 2024 totaled 22 billion 299.5 million soms. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Beknazar Bazaraliev at a press conference on January 22 on the results of the agency's activities.

Most of the budget, 45.9% or 10.2 billion soms, is money received by the ministry within the framework of investment projects. In addition, the Ministry of Transport received 5.033 billion soms for the Road Fund and another 6.5 billion soms for capital investments.

“The year 2024 was a fruitful, busy and active year for the Ministry of Transport and Communications. We have done significant work to improve road and transportation infrastructure,” he noted.

In general, according to the deputy minister, last year funding to the Ministry of Transport from the national budget was increased by 3.6 billion soms to 11.6 billion soms compared to 2023.  This, according to the Ministry's leadership, indicates that the road sector was given special attention.
