In 2025, almost 21 million foreigners entered Kyrgyzstan

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic works systematically to maintain law and order, prevent threats and create safe conditions for foreign citizens, which contributes to the growth of the country's tourism and investment potential and shapes a positive image of Kyrgyzstan as an open and safe state.

At the end of 2025, Kyrgyzstan saw a significant increase in the number of foreign citizens entering the country.

Inbound traffic in 2025 increased by 18.6% compared to 2024 and by 20% compared to 2023, indicating a sharp increase in interest in Kyrgyzstan as a destination for tourism, travel and business activity.

The number of foreign citizens entering Kyrgyzstan was as follows:

• 2023 — 17,480,097 people;
• 2024 — 17,682,929 people (an increase of 1.2%);
• 2025 – 20,978,965 people (+18.6% compared to 2024).

The sharp increase in the inflow of visitors in 2025 is due to the development of tourism infrastructure, the expansion of international routes, the active promotion of the country's natural and cultural potential, as well as the growth of business and investment contacts.

In total, 37,050,223 people crossed the state border of Kyrgyzstan in 2025, of which:

• 18,574,022 arrived in the country;
• 18,476,201 left the country.

A total of 3,260,642 vehicles crossed the state border, with 1,690,357 entering the country, confirming the high mobility of tourists and participants in international transport.

At the same time, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security ensured strict control over compliance with border and migration legislation. In 2025, 28,593 people were found to have invalid documents, of whom more than 28,000 were denied entry across the state border. Two thousand and thirty-one citizens were deported for violating the rules of stay.

The increase in the number of foreign citizens confirms the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan's position as an open, safe and attractive country for tourism and business, as well as its growing role in regional and international processes.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to provide reliable protection of the state border, creating comfortable and transparent conditions for the legal entry of foreign citizens.
