In 2025, 119 enterprises with investments of $715.6 million were launched in Kyrgyzstan

In 2025, 119 new enterprises with a total investment of $715.6 million were put into operation in Kyrgyzstan. This made it possible to create 8,451 jobs. This was announced by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, summarizing the results of the year.

According to him, the dynamics of new production facilities coming online remains stable. For comparison, in 2024, 102 enterprises were opened in the country with investments of $796.8 million and 8,315 jobs. Thus, in 2025, the number of projects and jobs created increased.

In industry, the total volume of production this year amounted to 685.9 billion KGS, an increase of 10.2%. He noted that more than 100 industrial enterprises are launched in the country every year, which forms the basis for expanding employment and diversifying the economy.

The head of the cabinet focused separately on the development of the energy sector. In 2024, total energy production increased to 117.8 MW. Eight small hydropower plants with a total capacity of 48.8 MW were commissioned, and in 2025, nine small hydropower plants with a capacity of 49 MW were commissioned. The modernization of the Toktogul HPP (up to 1,440 MW) has been completed, and the hydroelectric units of the Tash-Korgon HPP are being upgraded. New small hydropower plants are under construction, including Kambar-Ata-1.

According to the government's plans, 17 small hydropower plants will be built in 2026 and 19 in 2027. In addition, energy companies are upgrading their material and technical base at their own expense: 129 units of equipment were purchased in 2024 and 141 units in 2025.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized that the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1 will lead Kyrgyzstan to energy independence and create a solid foundation for future generations.
