In the Ak-Talin district, cracks appeared in 99 houses due to an earthquake

As a result of the earthquake in the Ak-Talin district, cracks appeared in 99 houses and social facilities. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the ministry, cracks were found in the walls of 99 residential buildings, three schools, one cultural centre and one shop in the Ak-Talin district.

Residential buildings and social facilities in the rural district of Togolok-Moldo, in the villages of Kok-Zhar, Zhan-Talap, Ak-Kya, Kadyraaly, and Kara-Oi were also damaged.
Survey work will continue today.

An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale, followed by a 5.5 magnitude aftershock, was recorded in the Naryn region on 12 May.
