Harvesting of autumn grain crops has begun in the Ak-Talin district

In the Ak-Talin district, the autumn grain harvest began in August and is currently in full swing.

The total area of grain crops in the district is 5,116 hectares. The largest area is occupied by barley — 2,916 hectares — and wheat — 2,191 hectares. Safflower is also grown — 119.5 hectares — as well as oats and sunflowers.

Local farms use 38 combine harvesters for harvesting. An additional seven combine harvesters have been brought in from the Suzak district.

Thanks to the hot weather, the grain crops have ripened evenly, allowing harvesting to begin earlier than usual. The harvest is estimated to be good. With favourable and stable weather, grain harvesting is planned to be completed by 1 October.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, the current harvesting campaign has been organised in a timely manner throughout the republic. The necessary agricultural machinery has been brought in to the districts, and farmers have been provided with fuel and equipment.
