In Bishkek, furniture shops were fined for burning LDPE waste

The Municipal Inspectorate of Bishkek City Hall continues to fight against violations of environmental norms. The hotline received a complaint from a city resident about the burning of industrial waste in a furniture shop on Vinogradnaya Street, 1/7. Specialists promptly went to the site and confirmed the fact of burning waste made of laminated particleboard (LDFP).

During the inspection, the inspectors found a similar violation in another furniture shop. As a result of the investigation, reports were drawn up on citizens B.E.E. and T.J. under Part 3, Article 115 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. The violators were fined 15,000 KGS.

In addition, explanatory work was conducted with the owners of the workshops and they pledged to stop burning waste.
The Mayor's Office reminds: burning household, industrial and medical waste in Bishkek is strictly prohibited. Such actions are punishable by fines of 7,500 KGS for individuals and 23,000 KGS for legal entities.
