06/19/2025, 15:45The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry held an investment forum, «Investment Forum 2025», on agricultural product processing.
The forum became the main platform for dialogue between the state, business and investors with the aim of jointly overcoming existing challenges and unlocking the industry's potential.
The main objectives of the forum were to present specific investment projects in the agricultural processing sector of Kyrgyzstan, establish direct contacts between project initiators (farmers, cooperatives, processing enterprises) and potential investors, and to discuss government policies and support measures aimed at attracting investment in agricultural processing. It also aims to exchange successful international experience and best practices in the processing industry, create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, technologies and the establishment of business links, and promote the agricultural processing sector of Kyrgyzstan in the international arena.
The forum was attended by representatives of the public sector, international financial institutions, development funds and experts.
The forum discussed dairy production, fruit and vegetable processing, meat processing and related products, leather and wool processing. In addition, issues related to trade and logistics centres and storage facilities, export potential, financing and state support were discussed.
They also talked about attracting investment in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) from local and international development institutions, holding B2B meetings between local investors and businesses, as well as problems and prospects for financing. As a result of the forum, connections were made between businesses and financial institutions, which will pave the way for investment agreements and loan agreements.
