02/19/2026, 16:42Bishkek plans to install cameras on buses to record traffic violators. This was announced today, 19 February, at a meeting of the Road Council by Borborbek Tashmatov, head of the Patrol Police Department (UPSM) of the Bishkek City Police Department.
According to him, bus drivers will record offenders on camera while on duty.
This work is being carried out as part of the "Safe City" project .
Traffic violators will be sent a notice of a fine to their place of residence.
Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliyev noted that it has become dangerous for citizens themselves to photograph and send the license plate numbers of violators. He stressed that there is currently a risk of license plate numbers being replaced using artificial intelligence.
