08/23/2026, 17:38The refurbishment of the ‘Asman Park’ family entertainment centre in Bishkek is nearing completion. Once the work is finished, the complex’s main attraction will be a Ferris wheel standing over 92 metres tall — the tallest attraction of its kind in Central Asia.
The capital’s mayor, Aibek Junushaliyev, inspected the progress of the site’s redevelopment.
The project involves the comprehensive improvement of the park, landscaping of the area, and the creation of modern leisure areas, walking paths and entertainment areas. Particular attention is being paid to the preservation and development of green spaces.
To date, more than 500 young trees and ornamental plants have already been planted in the park. It is planned to plant a further 500 or so in the near future. Work is also continuing on soil preparation and lawn sowing, as well as asphalting and landscaping the site.
The overall progress of the work already exceeds 90 per cent.
The main symbol of the revamped ‘Asman Park’ will be the ‘BISHKEK ZHYLDYZY’ Ferris wheel, standing over 92 metres tall. From its highest points, visitors will be treated to panoramic views of Bishkek and the mountains.
Once the redevelopment is complete, the centre will feature modern leisure areas, walking routes, entertainment areas and elements of futuristic design.
The Mayor of Bishkek emphasised the need to ensure the high quality of all the work and to create a comfortable, modern public space for the capital’s residents and visitors to the city.
