Bishkek will host the National Development Forum-2024

On 4 November, the National Development Forum-2024, dedicated to the theme ‘Human Capital and Sustainable Development’, will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Bishkek. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov will attend the event. The Cabinet press service informs about it.

Among the speakers of the forum are also announced Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Yangming Yang, UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic Antje Grave, Regional Director for Human Development of the World Bank Mikala Rutkowski, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Deven, U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Leslie Viguerie, members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of international organisations. The forum will last from 9:00 to 16:00.

The main goal of the forum is to create a unified platform for coordinating the efforts of all stakeholders in the development of human capital. Forum participants will discuss the key problems and challenges facing society in the digital age and the role of knowledge and skills in these conditions. The forum will present and discuss government policies for the coming year, including initiatives and strategies, aimed at human capital development. An important objective of the forum is to establish effective interaction between public authorities, the private sector and civil society to work together on initiatives in education, science and training.

The Forum programme includes the following sessions: ‘Human Capital as a Driver of Development’; ‘Human Capital: Time-Demanding Quality’; ‘Unlocking Potential: Skills and Education for Human Capital Development’; ‘Global Challenges and Perspectives’; ‘A Healthy Nation for Strong Human Capital’; and ‘Reflections of Development and Bilateral Partners on the 2024 Development Forum Outcomes’.
