The national cybersecurity festival CYBERNOMAD FEST 2026 is taking place in Bishkek

The national cybersecurity festival CYBERNOMAD FEST 2026 is taking place at the ‘Zhashtyk Arena’ in Bishkek on 22 September. The event is being attended by representatives of government bodies, banks and financial organisations, telecommunications and IT companies, educational institutions, international organisations and the expert community.

One of the festival’s key events was the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Information and Cybersecurity. The meeting addressed issues relating to cooperation between government bodies and local authorities, the assessment of current threats, and the development of coordination mechanisms in the field of information and cybersecurity.

This year, the festival brought together over 700 participants.

The programme comprises four main strands: the Cyber Conference forum with panel sessions, the Cyber EXPO technology exhibition, the Cyber Nomad CTF practical cyber exercises, and the Networking Hub for professional networking.

Particular attention is paid to the financial and banking sectors. The Cyber Conference addresses issues such as the protection of financial infrastructure, countering modern cyber threats, security in the banking and telecommunications sectors, and the training of specialists.

The Cyber Nomad CTF features practical cybersecurity competitions. The first stage took place on 7 September in the format of an individual Jeopardy CTF, whilst the second stage, held on 14 September, was dedicated to cyber incident investigation.

Following the two qualifying rounds, 11 teams progressed to the final. The final round is taking place on 22 September in an Attack/Defence format. Participants simultaneously defend their own infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities in their opponents’ systems.

The Cyber EXPO exhibition features solutions and technologies from more than 10 organisations operating in the field of cybersecurity.

The main organiser of CYBERNOMAD FEST 2026 is the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. The festival is being held with the participation and organisational partnership of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, SkySOC Beeline and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
