Deputy mayor Jamalbek Yrsaliyev detained in Bishkek

Deputy Mayor Jamalbek Yrsaliyev has been detained in Bishkek. According to preliminary information, several other employees of the capital's mayor's office were detained along with Yrsaliyev by officers of the State Committee for National Security.

Zhamalbek Yrsaliyev is responsible for transport and road repairs. The charges against him and the other detainees are not yet known. According to preliminary information, the investigation is linked to a case of alleged corruption.
