Harvesting of early apricot varieties has begun in the Jeti-Oguz district

Freshly picked apricots are mainly exported to Russia and Kazakhstan, with buyers arriving in trucks to purchase the local harvest at a favourable price.

Local residents report that the price of freshly picked apricots ranges from 30 to 45 soms. They say that this is a good price for the residents of the area.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, in previous years the price of apricots sometimes did not reach 20 soms.

According to a resident of the village of Ak-Terek, this year's harvest is abundant and there are enough buyers. He added that the ‘Korolev’ variety of apricots will soon be ripe.
