The EEC discussed accessibility of medicines for citizens of the EAEU countries

At the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Maxim Ermolovich, Minister of Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the EEC, held a working meeting with Alexey Kedrin, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The EEC Minister noted that this year the Commission's Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation Unit is conducting a large-scale sectoral study aimed at the development of competition in the pharmaceutical sector.

According to Maxim Ermolovich, the purpose of the study of the pharmaceutical sector is to reduce barriers, lower the price level and, as a result, to ensure the availability of medicines for citizens of the EAEU states.

The parties discussed the participation of the Association in the ongoing study.

At the end of the meeting Maxim Yermolovich invited Alexey Kedrin to take part in specialized events of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk in June 2025.
