Smuggling of 750 tonnes of oil products to a neighbouring country was suppressed in Kazakhstan

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, a channel of large-scale oil products smuggling has been liquidated in Kazakhstan.  

It is noted that more than 10 tank wagons intended for crossing the border were found. Wagons loaded with more than 750 tonnes of oil product contents worth more than 120 million KZT, going to the neighbouring state's territory, were stopped and seized for further investigation.

"The criminal case has been initiated on oil product transportation without the relevant authorisation documents. A set of operational and investigative measures is being carried out,' Kuandyk Alpys, Head of the Department for Combating Organised Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said.
