09/16/2026, 18:00The Chamber of Independent Directors of the Kyrgyz Republic has set out its key priorities for 2026–2027. The organisation plans to develop practical corporate governance tools, expand the professional community and promote its members to company boards and committees.
The decision was taken on 12 September at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting in Bishkek, where the results of the Chamber’s work for 2025 were also summarised and the financial statements were reviewed.
Priorities for the next two years include developing the ‘Corporate Director’ and ‘Corporate Secretary’ programmes, the Board Case Club, business meetings and webinars, as well as expanding cooperation with the IFC.
The Chamber also intends to develop tools for assessing corporate governance, risk management, ESG and compliance; to work on increasing the number of full members; and to engage with regulators and market participants.
Separately, plans are in place to organise a National Forum on Corporate Governance and to expand international cooperation.
Over the course of the year, 17 people completed the ‘Corporate Director’ certification programme, whilst nine completed the ‘Corporate Secretary’ programme. The Chamber also held nine online webinars and developed its online educational platform.
By the end of 2025, the organisation had 32 members — 25 full members and seven associate members.
