Kyrgyzstan has almost doubled its labour migration quota

Kyrgyzstan has increased its labour migration quota for 2026. The relevant decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, No. 313-t, was signed on 30 April 2026.

According to the document, the maximum number of foreign nationals and stateless persons who may enter the country to work has been increased from 52,000 to 100,000.

This refers to the quota regulating the recruitment of foreign labour in Kyrgyzstan. The decision means that employers will be able to hire almost twice as many foreign workers compared to the previously established limit.

The reasons for increasing the quota are not specified in the decree. Usually, such measures are linked to the need for staff in construction, industry, the service sector and other sectors of the economy where there is a shortage of workers.
