Starting November 15, 2024, citizens of Kyrgyzstan can apply to exchange their ID passports using the Tunduk app. This new service simplifies the process, allowing citizens to replace their passports without needing to visit Public Service Centers (PSCs) for document submission. Who can use the service? Citizens of Kyrgyzstan who hold a new generation biometric passport issued between 2017 and 2024 can apply for an ID card exchange via the Tunduk app. These passports contain an embedded chip with biometric data, including residential registration information and civil status records, enabling all necessary online verifications. Important! This service is only available to citizens with an ID series biometric passport. If you have an older AN series passport, you cannot apply through the app. In such cases, it is necessary to visit a PSC to obtain a new passport. Please note! The service is only for replacing an existing passport. For initial ID card issuance, applicants must visit a PSC. How to apply through the Tunduk app? The process for applying to exchange an ID passport via the Tunduk app involves a few straightforward steps: 1. Open the Tunduk app and navigate to the "ID Card Exchange Application" section. 2. Select the reason for passport replacement: loss, damage, expiration, voluntary update, or change in personal data. 3. Complete photo identification to confirm your identity — this procedure is conducted directly within the app. 4. Choose the PSC where the new passport will be issued, specifying a convenient territorial unit for you. 5. Pay the state fee — online payment is available via the app using a special code. Processing time and passport collection: After the application is submitted, all documents undergo verification within 1-3 days. Once the application is processed, the applicant will receive a notification via the app about the passport's readiness. To collect the finished document, a personal visit to the selected PSC with original documents is required. The Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan continues to work on expanding the functionality and accessibility of government services offered through the Tunduk mobile application.
