The virtual asset market in Kyrgyzstan has grown 172 times

There are about 200 licensed participants in the virtual asset market in Kyrgyzstan, including exchanges and miners. According to the Secretariat for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies, the turnover of virtual assets grew from 5 billion soms in 2022 to 860 billion soms in the first half of 2025.

The main initiatives of the state were the launch of the national stablecoin KGST, the creation of a state crypto reserve, and pilot projects on the tokenization of real assets.

As experts note, the rapid growth of the market requires not only control and infrastructure, but also legally established tools for the safe and transparent functioning of the industry.
