Capacity at seven high-voltage substations in Kyrgyzstan will be increased

In 2025, the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan will modernise seven 110-kilovolt high-voltage substations in different regions of the country, including Bishkek, Chui, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad and Batken oblasts. Power transformers will be replaced at the facilities, increasing their total capacity by more than 100 megavolts.

The works are carried out within the framework of the programme on renewal of overloaded substations and preparation of the energy system for the winter period. This will ensure a more stable power supply in the cold season and create conditions for connecting new consumers.

In 2024, more than 30 thousand new subscribers, including household and industrial consumers, have already been connected to the company's networks. The capacity expansion will make it possible to continue the development of the energy system and reduce the load on existing facilities.
