Sowing and ploughing have been carried out on a total area of 598,400 hectares, which is 85.8% of the planned sowing area. These figures were provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.
Wheat has been sown on 99,500 hectares, which is 96.7% of the plan. Wheat sowing is currently continuing in the Talas, Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions.
Barley has been sown on 212,800 hectares, which is 88.2% of the planned structure. Compared to the same period last year, 1,600 hectares more have been sown.
In 2025, spring barley is expected to be sown on a total area of 241,300 hectares.
To date, 97.5 thousand hectares of corn have been sown, which is 90.3% of the plan. Potatoes have been planted on 49.2 thousand hectares across the republic, which is 4.7 thousand hectares more than in the same period last year. According to the plan for 2025, potatoes are expected to be planted on a total area of 66.4 thousand hectares throughout the republic.
Vegetable crops occupied 46.12 thousand hectares, which is 1.8 thousand hectares more than last year.
Melons were planted on an area of 10 thousand hectares. In the Osh region, work has been completed, and in the Jalal-Abad region, it is in the final stages.
Oilseeds were planted on an area of 12.1 thousand hectares, which is 71.3% of the plan.
Sugar beet has been sown in the Chui and Talas regions on an area of 12,840 hectares, which is 1,300 hectares more than in the same period last year.
