08/26/2025, 15:14The number of virtual asset exchange operators has increased in Kyrgyzstan. By the end of 2024, the number of crypto exchanges had grown to 129. This is twice as many as in 2023, when there were 64.
At the same time, the number of crypto exchanges has also grown. While there were only three in 2023, by the end of 2024 there were already eight.
Overall, at the end of 2024, the non-bank financial market in Kyrgyzstan included 1,156 legal entities and individuals who had received 1,241 licences, registrations and certificates.
The non-bank financial market is understood to be a segment that combines activities in the securities market, insurance, auditing, non-state pension funds and management companies, commodity exchanges, as well as in the lottery and pawnshop sectors.
