Over 6,000 houses and apartments were built in Kyrgyzstan in six months. This is 24% more than last year

From January to June 2025, 6,267 houses and apartments with a total area of 779,500 square meters were built and commissioned in Kyrgyzstan. This is 23.9% more than in the same period last year.

More than KGS 55.3 billion was allocated for housing construction in six months, which is twice as much as a year earlier. Almost half of all investments in the country's fixed capital were in housing construction.

Most of the new housing appeared in the Jalal-Abad, Chui, and Osh regions, as well as in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. At the same time, 45% of all housing built is located in rural areas.
The majority of houses and apartments — more than 76.8% — were built with funds from the citizens themselves.

In the first half of the year, 4,526 private houses with a total area of 598,400 square meters were built. This is slightly less than a year earlier, but the cost of construction increased by 2.5% to KGS 17.7 billion.
