Kyrgyzstan wants to tighten control over petrol prices

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev held a meeting on ensuring the domestic market with petroleum products. The main goal is to prevent shortages and price spikes for petrol and diesel.

According to information from the relevant departments, fuel supplies remain stable, but due to the situation on external markets, the government has decided to strengthen control over pricing and logistics. A temporary ban on the export of oil and petroleum products outside the Eurasian Economic Union had already been introduced earlier.

Kasymaliyev instructed that sufficient reserves of fuel and lubricants be created and that any changes in the market be responded to promptly. The authorities expect that these measures will help to keep prices stable and guarantee uninterrupted fuel supplies for citizens and businesses.
