At the ceremony, President Sadyr Zhaparov stated that the project would serve as a new platform for attracting investment, technology and international companies. According to him, the initiative had been under discussion for several years and was implemented following the adoption of a package of legislative amendments.
The project provides for the establishment of a separate legal and administrative system, including the application of the principles of English law for the resolution of commercial disputes. The creation of an international investment centre involving experts and business representatives has also been announced. The authorities emphasise that the zone will focus on long-term projects and institutional development.
The President noted that the project should strengthen the country’s economic potential and create new areas of growth.
It is expected that ‘Tamchy’ will become one of the key investment platforms in the region and attract international companies to the financial and service sectors.
