Kyrgyzstan Expands Product Testing Capabilities to Meet International Standards

The testing laboratory of Kyrgyzstandart, which works with consumer goods, containers and packaging, received an updated accreditation certificate, which expanded its competence. The laboratory now complies with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025-2019.

This development provides a number of advantages, including improved conditions for export: certification of goods is now easier, which increases the confidence of consumers and partners. The results obtained by the laboratory play an important role in confirming the quality of products by companies. The certification process is accelerated, as laboratory conclusions can be used for registration of declarations or certification of goods.

International accreditation serves as a guarantee of the laboratory's high level of reliability. Modern equipment of the laboratory allows to perform product testing according to the following technical regulations of the EAEU:

1. TR/TC 005/2011, concerning the safety of packaging;
2. TR/TC 007/2011, ensuring safety of products for children and teenagers;
3. TR/TC 008/2011, related to the safety of toys;
4. TR/TC 009/2011 regulating the safety of perfumes and cosmetics;
5. TR/TC 017/2021, guaranteeing the safety of light industry products.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic actively supports efforts to develop the national quality infrastructure, which facilitates the entry of Kyrgyz goods into world markets.
