In Kyrgyzstan, employers violated the labor code more than 1,000 times in nine months

In Kyrgyzstan, control over compliance with labor legislation has been strengthened. According to a report by the Labor Law Control and Supervision Service under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, there was an increase in violations and accidents at work in the third quarter of 2025.

According to the service, inspectors conducted 935 inspections in the first nine months of 2025, which revealed 1,009 violations. In the third quarter, their number increased almost fourfold compared to the beginning of the year. During this period, 1,320 orders were issued to employers and fines totaling 6.37 million KGS were imposed, of which 4.67 million KGS have already been paid.

In the field of occupational safety, 123 accidents were recorded, resulting in 135 people being injured, 51 of whom died. At the same time, the number of serious injuries decreased from 32 to 21 cases. As part of control measures, 63.1 million KGS in compensation and 9.6 million KGS in unpaid wages were provided to employees.

In addition, inspectors participated in 73 court hearings, conducted 169 training events, reviewed 1,345 citizen appeals, and provided 4,364 verbal consultations.
