A drip irrigation system covering an area of 100 hectares has been put into operation in Leylik

In 2025, a modern drip irrigation system covering an area of 100 hectares was put into operation in the village of Ken-Talaa, Leylek district, Batken region. As part of the project, a 12,000 cubic meter water reservoir was built, creating conditions for the rational and efficient use of water resources.

In addition, based on an agreement with the Arakhet agricultural commercial cooperative, 36 hectares of land were allocated for the establishment of orchards. Currently, the planting of high-quality apricot seedlings (Pritia and Venderkot varieties) imported from Turkey and Uzbekistan has begun.

The drip irrigation system saves up to 40-60% of water compared to traditional irrigation methods. Since water is supplied directly to the root system of plants, evaporation and leakage losses are significantly reduced.

As a result, plants receive uniform and measured moisture, which ensures stable growth. As a result, crop yields increase by 20-50%.

The implementation of this project will contribute to the development of agriculture in the region, the creation of new jobs, and the production of high-quality export-oriented products. Particular attention is paid to the development of apricot cultivation, which will increase the income of local farmers and enhance the economic potential of the region.
