The first section of the reconstruction is taking place on Kurmanzhan Datka Street, from Chui Avenue to Frunze Street. The length of the main heating network on this section is 580 metres. This network has been in operation since 1984 and has already served its standard service life (41 years).
Work has now begun on digging trenches and connecting to the main pipeline on Chui Avenue.
The second section runs from Frunze Street to Salieva Street. The length of this section is 340 metres. This part of the network was also commissioned in 1984 and is in an emergency condition requiring urgent replacement. Currently, 40% of the earthworks have been completed on this section, 40% of the reinforced concrete trays have been dismantled, 50% of the pipe dismantling work has been completed, the above-ground chamber on the western side of the Alamedin River has been dismantled, and work is underway to clean the trench.
The mayor also familiarised himself with the progress of construction of a new pumping station at the intersection of Osmonkula Street and Chui Avenue. The project was planned back in the 1990s and will improve heat supply for 30,000 subscribers in the western part of Bishkek. The work is being carried out by a consortium of CRBC and OsOO Technotop.
To date, the pumping station building has been constructed, the bank has been reinforced, and eight pumps and a crane beam have been installed. Pipes are currently being installed inside the station and a passageway is being built, in which four pipes will be laid.
