    The Ministry of Health revealed financial irregularities worth over 3 billion soms

    The Chamber of Accounts reported about revealed serious violations in the financial activities of the agency in the amount of more than 3.1 billion soms. The main problems are related to the payment of salaries, public procurement, accounting of inventory and other operations. 

    Of this amount, about 2.3 billion soms is attributed to procedural violations, and about 820 million soms to financial violations.

    Financial violations include misuse of budgetary funds in the amount of over 561 million soms, errors in accounting and reporting in the amount of 151 million soms, as well as violations in the procurement of goods and services in the amount of over 102 million soms. In addition, deficiencies in property management were identified for about 4.5 million soms.
    The auditors noted that some of the violations have already been eliminated. Thus, out of 114 million soms to be recovered, more than 111 million soms have been returned, which is 97% of the required amount.

    The report of the Accounting Chamber was approved and sent to the relevant state institutions with recommendations to eliminate the identified shortcomings. The agencies are instructed to take measures to prevent similar violations in the future.
