10/17/2025, 13:51A capsule has been laid in Naryn for the construction of a new building for the Naryn Regional Family Medicine Centre. The construction will be financed by the As-Safa Charitable Foundation.
The project involves the construction of a four-storey building with a basement, equipped with modern furniture and medical equipment. The new centre will significantly improve the accessibility and quality of primary health care for residents of the region.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Chechebaev, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn Region Nurbek Sataev, the Mayor of Naryn Zhaynak Nemat uulu, the Executive Director of the As-Safa Centre Public Association Ibrahim Malsagov, and Naryn District Governor Nuridin Madimarov.
In his speech, Health Minister Erkin Chechebaev noted that the development of primary health care is one of the priorities of state policy in the field of health care.
«The construction of a new family medicine centre in Naryn is an important step in strengthening regional infrastructure and improving access to medical care for the population. We are grateful to our partners and charitable organisations for their support of initiatives aimed at improving conditions for doctors and patients», — emphasised Health Minister Erkin Chechebaev.
The existing family medicine centre, built in 1968, has been providing medical services to the residents of the city and the region for decades. However, the premises have now become cramped and do not meet modern requirements for the quality of primary health care.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the authorised representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region, held negotiations with the As-Safa Charitable Foundation, which resulted in a bilateral agreement on the construction of a new modern medical complex.
The Naryn Regional Family Medicine Centre serves the population of the city of Naryn and the Naryn district, numbering 91,533 people.
Among them are 28,711 children under the age of 14, including 8,623 children under the age of 5 and 1,056 children in their first year of life.
The total number of women is 46,112, of whom 18,637 (40.4%) are of reproductive age.
In the first nine months of 2025, the centre provided 101,654 outpatient consultations.
