The hotel will be the first ‘green’ facility of this format in the region. It will introduce a geothermal heating and hot water system, and solar panels will be installed on the roof, which will ensure the hotel's energy independence and reduce its ecological footprint.
TES Hotel is located in the historic part of the city, next to Sulaiman-Too Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This makes it attractive to tourists, especially against the backdrop of growing interest in Kyrgyzstan: according to CountryCasa, the country ranks first in terms of tourist inflow in Central Asia.
Artem Novikov, head of the RKFR, said the trend towards eco-tourism will only grow, and the development of such projects contributes to sustainable economic development and the creation of new jobs. The cost of the project is estimated at $1 million, of which 70 per cent is covered by RKDF.
